Photographer Madeleine Ray captures the quiet conflict between outer presentation and inner truth in this intimate fashion story starring avant-garde artist cityofbrokendolls. Through three looks fashioned around lingerie from MOOL, a select boutique in Naka-meguro, Inner Angel explores the manner in which authenticity arises in privacy, where softness and the sensual can emerge unguarded. Merging the transgressive edge of Romain Slocombe and Nobuyoshi Araki with biblical motifs, the photo series transforms this private act of self-expression into a dream-like narrative.
